The CT5-V has three powertrain options to choose from. On the entry-level V-Series, the standalone engine option is a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 with an output of 360 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission with Electronic Precision Shift and automatic engine start/stop technology is standard to ensure this sports sedan is ready for urban and suburban traffic environments.

The second engine is exclusive to the V-Series Blackwing, which is available only with a rear-wheel drivetrain to provide sporty handling. The 6.2-liter supercharged V8 DI engine can be paired with a six-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic transmission. This engine produces 668 horsepower and 659 lb-ft of torque.

Mechanical Features

One of the mechanical highlights of the CT5-V is Magnetic Ride Control, a specialized part of the suspension system that controls the body motion of the vehicle and continually scans the road to adjust the damping degree in roughly five milliseconds. A performance-tuned suspension and traction management system maximize vehicle responsiveness.

The Performance Traction Management system has five control modes for different track driving environments, while the Drive Mode Selector allows drivers to choose from My Mode, V-Mode, Tour, Sport, Track, and Snow/Ice driving modes for tailored vehicle performance.

Exterior Features

The CT5-V comes with 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels, which are paired with 19-inch run-flat summer tires. These tires can drive up to 60 miles after a puncture so you can reach your dealership for tire service.

Along with automatic headlights with courtesy delay and software to detect when you enter a tunnel, this sports sedan has LED front lamp turn signals that automatically turn on the cornering lights so you can see road obstructions when you change lanes.

Interior Features

This model has an advanced infotainment system with Google Built-In technology and natural voice recognition housed in a 33-inch central display. With Google Built-In technology, you can use Google Maps for navigation, enjoy personalized driver profiles with predictive Google technology, and much more. A 15-speaker AKG Premium audio system is also standard.

The cabin features power-adjustable front seats with manually adjustable cushion extension and four-way power lumbar support. The front-row seats have a lumbar massage feature, along with three-stage heating for maximum comfort on long trips. Alloy sport medals and a leather-wrapped Super Cruise steering wheel with an integrated driver attention monitor system are also standard.
